It's like when I was a cashier and sometimes we would have to do conduct postal code surveys. These were so the company knew where customers are coming from to visit that store, it's helpful because then a company can decide whether to open a new store in a different area. No one has to give us their postal code when we ask, so it was fine when people said no. But others would get really defensive and/or rant about it being a privacy invasion, after they just completed a transaction with their credit card... :/ just say no and walk away, no body has time for your tin-hat theories and paranoia.
