You have a baby, best you can do it calling the fire trucks. If the fire is that high and people haven’t run out they are dead, or not at home.

This is exactly why you will never get paid more. When I started my job, my salary was, like, OK. Every time when a problem occured, I was in the front row to try to solve it, at least help my colleagues in any way possible. Now I earn approx 3x the average in Hungary.

I used to work at a compost facility and we had to deal with eco fires on almost a weekly basis (the compost would decompose and create enough heat to ignite it). I was working night shift one night and had a huge eco fire inside the building, as soon as 5am rolled around I dropped the fire hose and literally left the building on fire. No ragrets.
