What is Florida really like? Closest I've been is Tennessee and that's still a long way off. From the movies I see it looks mostly like a swampy wasteland with a lot of trailer parks and rednecks.

I live in Florida. I've heard shotting sounds near my neighborhood from time to time, but I know those are either fireworks or cars that make shotting noices, although could be real guns but I prefer to think everything's fine and people are good where I live. Either way, I never go out of my house other than work or groceries and gas. If you want to get drugs and all that bad stuff, I have no idea. My only adiction is my computer so I have no idea where to find it but my neighbor does smoke marihuana. Also when I'm driving back home with the car's windows down I have smelled it. I'm going to be honest with you guys. Drugs are the main reason people act stupid in this country and comit crimes. Hate me if you want but that's the truth. Sorry for my bad english
As far as I know, the reason for so many crazy Floridaman stories being known to the public is actually because Florida law requires more public access and transparency with arrest records. So it's not that they're necessarily doing more crazy stuff than others, we're just more likely to find out about crazy stuff that happens in Florida.
In Miami there's a black kid on every street corner asking if you want cocaine. At every outdoor bar there's an escort looking to steal your money (she always has about 3 guys in the area for backup)
