The mix breed mongrels at my grandfathers farm will beg to disagree!! One of them lived till 21.. They have lived all their lives with the sheep.. They eat dirty bones, left overs and stale bread, they never enter the house.. They only get some vaccinations and sometimes treated for lice.. (But they always seem to have some)
