This is the original map at Southwick Military Park (Uk) which was used by Winston Churchill, General Eisenhower, Admiral Ramsay and General Montgomery to plan the D-Day landings. All the pieces are still in their original place as they were on the morning of D-Day.

Like pawns on a chess board. Though that is the only American conflict I would have volunteered to participate in and genuinely thank any allied soldier for their service.

The basement of the officers mess is awesome. Went in there when I was in training and still had the pool table and bar. Even the alcohol was still on the shelves. Dusty from over the years.
