I still say if the guilty guy is going to get the death penalty that they should just lock him in a room with the father, and give the father a claw hammer and let things resolve themselves.

I understand the anger and passion that motivated the dad, but he could probably find an inmate to kill him for a couple cartons of cigarettes.

Question: how hard would it be to slip the information about that guy's crime to his other inmates? I think his remaining days or weeks would be like literally living hell

As far as I know, I don't think he was actually charged or even given a warning for this attack as it was 100% understandable and they should have taken this to account before that this could happen
