Video games used to be fun and exciting for me. Lots of mysteries but now there’s tons of spoilers. Also the realization that it will come to a end. I had a few of those and man sometimes you just wish the story or game never end. Game play is almost the same now too. Nothing new

Spoilers? Does someone make you watch them by force? Try some indie games and not those games by big studios, you might get surprised how good the smaller games can be. For example Ori, Hades, Factorio etc.

Sandbox games don't really end, I love Farming Simulator, Fishing North Atlantic, Euro Truck. Great for relaxing. Now i play Riftbreaker, also nice little game. I dont always have drive for games, sometimes I cant get into anything for days. Its normal, don't stress it. I still love games, my favorite way to spend time alone.

Games are evolving, you're just not ok with the direction because it requires you to learn new stuff, and your brain started resisting learning as you grew older and stopped learning, or maybe don't have the energy to learn after a hard job. Basically, it's not the games, it's you.

its because games today are very barren and copy pastes of other games. Just look at all tahtas available on console. Third person action games with light rpg mechanics and rhythm combat. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. Utter disgust.
