The problem is not only how many hours you sleep, but WHEN you sleep. Let's say that today you went to bed at 3am, tomorrow you have to wake up at 8, because you work. You get tired at 6pm, then you sleep for 3 or 4 hours, wake up a few hours before midnight and try to sleep again after eating something... but you can't. You manage to reach the weekend, and then you wake up around 1pm, to "recover sleep". The problem is that sleeping doesn't work that way: you cannot decide when to sleep, you can't recover sleep and you can't sleep "in advance". Eating, Sleeping and Excercise should have an schedule, define something that works for you and keep it during every day of your life, even on weekends. You will feel much better.

If sleep doesn't get rid of tired feelings, might be a sign that your brain is working overtime due to mental health issues.. suppressing mental health issues and trying to go about your day to day like nothing is wrong makes an individual incredibly tired all the time.

I've read a research on sleep, about REM cycle and the such, which my ADHD brain is too stupid to really re-explain it, but basically try to sleep in a multiplication of 1.5 hours. Example would be 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5 hours.
