Well, aside from wooden handle it's all cast metal, of course it's gonna last multiple lifetimes. I'm using one that my mum got from her grandmother, and it's unsurprisingly pretty much the same the whole time. Pain in the ass to wash though, especially from minced meat.

The manufacturer made a mistake by making a product that can last long. If it was made to last 2 years (warranty period) they would thrive

Can confirm, bought mine at the local red cross thrift shop for $10, it was made in around 1950 and works like brand new, mainly use it for grinding the best hamburger meat :)
