STORY TIME: I had to take my dog to the vet's, which was a little ways away from my apartment. For convenience I took a rickshaw (an open trolley pulled on a bicycle). A friend was with me to keep me company. Anyway, so on the way a loud wedding band goes by and startled by the loud noise my dog bolts up, so hard on his leash that it pinched my hand and i reflexively let go. Now my dog is running on a busy road, and I am just as blindly running behind him in a panic. I manage to catch him and get his shots. A few days later is diwali. Festival of fireworks. My dog. Calm as water. I was perplexed. The next time I took him to the vet, the roads were relatively empty. But my dog wanted to bolt at the same place he had at first. So it turns out, my dog had a trigger. On the way to the vet, there is a large dump. He associated the smell to the vet. Now anytime I cross a very smelly dump, my dog gets mad sweaty. What a doofus.
