UEFA have announced they will use a semi-automated offside system for the Champions League group stages this season. The ball will have a sensor inside that will send VAR data.

The balls should also automatically home in on players who fake injury and explode on contact. I hope that's in the next upgrade.

Took them 20 years... Also why do they need a sensor inside the ball? I'm sure there are plenty of image recognition programs that can track a fking white ball in real time. Tracking white balls is like the basic training in most AI...
