True, but remember that jokes are only jokes if it's not possible that you believe what you're joking about, because then it's basically just a veiled way to say what you mean. A guy making a rape joke is fine because the idea of raping someone is absurd to him, but a rapist making a rape joke isn't as funny because you know they might not actually be kidding.
