The movie is very LOOSELY based on a true story. Tje only thing that is true is that the guy was black. I researched this (for academic reasons). Most if not all is doctor'd up by Hollywood. When he goes to jail.... it is not for NOTHING..... IT IS FOR BEATING THE DOG SHIT OUT OF HIS WIFE. There was never a rubik's cube, also, the kid wasn't with him! Basically the whole thing is a lie.
