I think it was the first film Spielberg did after completing his Academic Cinema degree. Seriously. if you compare it to Close Encounters of the Third Kind, for example, you will see an evolution in style, no doubt

its literally insane how he builds up the tragedy of the story. When you see the girl in red, the breakdown and the final scene with the real survivors. I cried like a baby.

Schindler ended up very bad so i am sure something fishy is going on with holocaust and orher bullshit.
