Yeah my mother threw away almost every book, drawing or note i ever made or used them to make kindling for fire. A few months after i moved out i went back to finally take the rest pf my stuff and most of it was gone despite me telling her not to throw it out because i want to keep them. I guess it must be nice to have a parent who actually loves you. Maybe in my next life :/

reverse for me, she threw put anything she thought wasnt usefull anymore, by the time i could say id like to save it it was ruined

My dad still keeps a smooth pebble i got him as a fathers day gift, i just picked up a pebble painted it green and put happy father day, 24 years later he still has it in his dresser
