This is indeed very scary

my oneplus 2 smartphone came with an usb cable, tjat connected from usb c to a usb that was kind of like the lightning, long before it was made by apple, I cannot find a similar cable for replacement, I assume the rights to a "non directional factor input" were boughy by apple. it is quite nice to have had an usb cable where it didnt matter which side you plug in.

by your own admission they do not license out and are now forced to adapt to USB 3 standard. they through out their own innovatio cause no one uses it.

Not an apple fan but thunderbolt ports and lightning cables are the best; the technology is so far ahead of anything USB Has to offer its ridiculous. I genuinely think Apples biggest mistake was making it proprietary instead of letting other manufacturers use it in their devices as well. Industry and consumers would be better off if lightening was the standard. Haters gonna say I’m full of shit without knowing anything about the technology and it’s capabilities.
