"Best before" doesnt mean its expired after.

It's the same thing with water bottles. Water doesn't expire the packing material does.

Even if it was in a non degrading container, I'm pretty sure by law, companies has to set a date on food items, even if your product would survive longer than you.

"fish survive for months in the ocean and only 2 days in my refrigerator? YEA SURE!" who needs more than 2 years to use up that amount of salt anyway? Do you not season your food? Do you hate flavor?
