The T ree Rings were 'modelled' after the resting places of the three Silmarils of Feanor: one Silmaril sailing in the space, one thrown into the ocean, and one thrown into a volcano. The Three were not made for war (although they could be helpful for war), but they were made for understanding, makin , and healing, to reserve all things unstained. The Hi h-e ves of Eregion dI not desire to ever leave Middle-eart , they wanted to turn Middle-earth into the Undying Lands v2, so they listened to Sauron's teachings and made many Rings. The High-Elves cannot endure the 'pain' of passing of time and decay of the world, hence they made these Rings to ﬁght against the Fading. The Rings also could amplify the natural powers of their users. Although Celebrimbor made the Three alone in secret, he still used the knowledge that Sauron taught him more or less. Thus the Three Rings remained pure, yet they were fated to the One Ri After the betrayal of Sauron, Celebrimbor repented and asked his BFF Galadriel for advice. It is said the should have destroyed all the Rings that day, but they failed to ‘nd the strength in their hearts. GilGalad gave Vilya to Elrond in the Council in mid Second Age. He gave Narya to Cirdan in the end of Second Age when he set out for the War of the Last Alliance. Cirdan gave his Ring to Gandalf in around 1000 Third Age. After Sauron lost the Ruling Ring the Elves and Gandalf were now able to use their Rings without any dan er. Elrond and Galadriel turned their lands into almost 'ﬁmelessﬁands. Lorien became like a Gateway to the Ancient Realms, like a vision of the Unclying Lands. Gandalf mostly used his Rin to inspire people. The powers of Galadriel and Elmnd were ampliﬁed greatly, especially Elrond's healing powers and Galadriel‘s protection powers. When Frodo offered Galadriel the One Rin she had this one and only chance to save Middleearth for the Elves Fespecially HigheElves), but she overcame the ovemhelmin temptation of the One Ring and sacriﬁced her greatest dream A er the destmction of the One Ring, the Three Rings lost power, and Rivendell and Lorien started fading. In the ﬁnal chapters, Galadriel and Elrond and Gandalf and Celeborn went to Eregion that was Ion a mined land, and they sat together like for otten eople and recalle all of theirjo s and labors Then Elrond an Gala riel rode on to the Grey Havens, or the Days of the Rings were over and an end was come of the story and song of those times.
