It's not legal here in France for a landlord to refuse to rent you a place because you own a pet. Oh and this frog looks tasteful...

In belgium if you take the law really strict a landlord can not refuse a pet. The only thing he can do is prefer people without but he can not tell you not to have one. This is because of the right to not be alone. You have the right to have company and pets are a form of company. But it is not generaly accepted here so its kind of a grey zone tbh.
