Sterotypes always have a grounding.

I do the exact same thing but with license plates, many countries have similar stereotypes, so I started regional, and finally city driving stereotyping. Male or female doesn't matter to me anymore

When I was in a driving job, I had a partner and we had our bets about these things. Now, everytime we were at an intersection and needed someone to let us merge or pass, it was never a woman. Some women went as far as to block us even illegally when we had a clearing, to be fair, neither young nor old males allowed us to pass either, it was always a middle aged man. Also, women with small cars are at the same time terrible and genious at parking. They somehow manage to park the tiniest cars blocking two spots.

My mom is a really good driver and even she says the same about women drivers. Prejudices wouldnt exist without a true core
