I wonder how evolution have done this. I mean in order to imitate the look of a snake one has to see how a snake looks. Did previous generations of snakes see snakes and somehow changed their wings? Are butterflies capable of doing so? It would require conscious thought proces to replicate the look of something and as far as I know butterflies are not capable of such things. Evolution is not a conscious process either. So then how was it done? I'm not in any way trying to advocate existence of a god in this question (which I don't belueve in), just a sincere question.

one of the examples making me think there's more than "evolution" and/through "natural selection", the planet is too small and millions of years are just not enough for this BS to happen. atheist, btw.
