Kiedis is a mastermind when it comes to lyrics, they have deeper meaning, than 99% of artists' works nowadays, can describe drug addict life, love affairs and living on top and bottom perfectly literally and symbolically, not talking only about bitches, cars and coke, but yea... Let's bring it down to the often mentioned place which shaped their band. Don't think it was hate, but get educated OP. You won't regret it.

Makes sense though! That's where Anthony and Flea met and also were they formed their first band with Hillel and Jack! Plus most of their sex&drug adventures happened there, so of course it's a repeated theme in their songs :)

Here in Belgium, during German class it was Rammstein with Links 2-3-4. I started listening to the band a couple of months earlier and have been a fan ever since. About 20 years ago now. As far as RHCP matters.... Parallel Universe will always be my favourite. Throw in the version of Slane Castle and it's an epic combo.
