I honestly wonder why is Africa still such a shithole despite all that charity aid. I am hearing about a starving children in Africa my entire life and I am little too old to care now.

Coz the money don't go to places that its needed. It stays at top, basic corruption? I would assume

Why??....why do rich countries CONSTANTLY need to give handouts to the SAME bunch of poor countries??????. The aid gets resold and the money squandered away yet again.

because we dont always want nor need to help others, focussing on ourselves first should be a priority most of the times

Africa is a whole continent with resources. It needs to get it's shit together over time, create infrastructure, and help itself. If they can't or won't do that over the decades, then yeah, fuck 'em.

Why? Because actually this one might be kinda in our interest… the more shitholes remain unvaccinated, the more breeding ground you have for new variants. Problem is, those doses will probably equally disappear into thin air and corruption like the aid money - which should have kept the economic-not-war rapefugees down in Africa.

Because antibodies wear off so after a time so previously vaccinated folks in rich countries are nearly as susceptible.
