As someone who has been on the receiving end of programmers work quite a few times (customer project manager) but who also coded this and that for self use on an at-home-server, let me tell you: If restaurants worked as thoroughly as programmers in regards to hygiene, if pilots executed their plane operatio as thoroughly as programmers, and if truck drivers drove as focussed and well concentrated as programmers work, then humanity would be dead in 2 weeks.
