I know this one story which my grandmother used to tell me, it's about Gabriel, or Gibrael(I belong to a Muslim family) I once asked Her if she knew how old Gabriel was( gabriel is an Archangel, he is the messenger, who brings forth God's commands, and relays his words to the Prophets) my grandmother laughed and told me this story, and this is how the story goes.
The last Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) asks Gabriel how old he is and he replies, beyond SidratulMuntaha (the highest of points)( it is a place on the 7th sky which is marked as the final place, no being is allowed to pass this point, since God resides past that ) Gabriel says that on top of the SidratulMuntaha there's an ancient tree(tree of life) above that tree a star appears once every 1000000 years, I have seen that star 1000000 times.
This gives You an idea of how ancient and strange angels truly are.
