Power plants run three shifts, usually with three different people/crews. If the guy is doing all three shifts...then that's a shitty company.

Underpaid? Look at what his job is again. Also, I did 6 weeks of 7 12hr days where I work when we were down a supervisor. My company was trying desperately to find someone qualified to take the position. They ended up hiring an old supervisor (who had moved out of state but was back to take care of their ailing father) as contractor so he could train someone and get us back to regular shifts. Sometimes there is just an extra load and no one to shoulder it. When that happens you tighten your boot laces and get to work.

I managed a grocery store and did 16hr per day shifts with 1 day off every 93 days. I wasn't the store manager, but I was exploited as though I was. After 7 years of that, and missing every holiday with my kids, I had enough. I now do 4 days on, 3 days off with 10 hour shifts and get paid way more money. Kudos for trying to have pride in what you do, but 190hrs in 3 weeks will catch up to you if it's actual work. Work to live, don't live to work.

Sits on their ass all day, checks 2 screens 3 times a day and calls that work. Course you ain't tired you don't do shit but tell others to do shit, I could work 190 hours too if I had that luxury of slaves under my ass

I did 13 -18 hour days for 13 days on and 1 day off, for years, was exposed to chemicals and radiation without protective gear, tore muscles and ligaments while being expected to work the next day or lose my job - all the while having a cheating pregnant fiance at home in our new house. I now have permanently effecting me: limp from untreated torn ligaments in both knees and from bones spurs in lower back, ringing in my ears, and a mistrust for people in general. I too just wanted to work hard for a good living and take care of a family.
