Not similar to MGS, but good stories i would say horizon zero dawn, i like subnautica, red dead( both) , and the witcher with dlcs. If you havent played those, thatll do ya for a while

You know what is really sad? That Kojima didn't get to make the third and final act of this game.

Two thinks can miss:
1- Explore totaly the medical platform, someone want to see you
2- the last chapter is on YouTube, search "mission 51" and then say "fuck Konami"

i guess you've already played mgs 1 - 4 and portable ops and peace walker and ground zeroes right? sadly there's nothing quite like the story of mgs 1 - 4 so i dont know what to tell you.

I really liked the MGS serie, in the same « vibe » (imo):
- Nier Automata (not the best gameplay, but really good atmosphere and story)
- Shadow Of The Colossus
- Death Stranding (a story a bit messy, but perfect to make a transition between to game)
- Control
- Silent Hill 2, 3 and 4
- MGS 1, 2, 3, Peace Walker, 4 and Rising (obviously)
If you are not afraid of « minimal gameplay » (like walking simulator), you also have:
- >observer
- AI: The Somnium Files
- 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim
And if you just want to have fun:
- Superhot
- Dead Cells
- Untitled Goose Game
- Katamari Forever
- and so many others you can easily find on steam/psn/xba/...

Witcher 3
Still one of the best games and CDPR can weave some great narratives but it's fantasy than fiction
