I used to work for Toys R Us years ago. We had a manager who would follow these kinds of customers around with a nerf gun. If they ever stopped and looked back at him he would also stop and just stare them down. Usually did the trick.

I used to work in a pub and regulars didn't even think about drinking until at least 30 minutes after closing time.

I used to work at a large electronics store. During holidays they close at midnight. There was once a young couple on closing shift that came to the store about 10 minutes before closing, wandered around the store, stayed until 5 minutes after closing time and then left without even buying anything. Do these people not understand that the employees will have to stay longer there because of them? How selfish can you be

I remember a story from working in the cinema. I worked a full day shift that day (around 14h) because we were understaffed and honestly I could have used the money... Anyway, end of the day, everything is ready, I already locked up pretty much everything, just one last movie to end, wait for the people to leave, close, luck up and done, 5 minutes tops, right? Wrong. One guy from the entire hall sat there for over 20 minutes to watch the whole credits, even though it wasn't even a marvel movie or something like that where people expect after credits scene. Then he spent 5 more minutes slowly gathering his things, and walked really slowly out the hall into the lobby where he also strolled really slowly looking at all the posters... 5 minutes turned into about 40 before I finally locked the door behind this guy. I mean, I still got paid for those 40 mins, but still, after full day on my feet, I just wanted to kick his ass out of the theater...
