A nuclear reactor may have a higher carbon cost during construction and demolition, but that’s massively offset by the carbon reduction over the power plants lifecycle.

The only CO2 emissions from nuclear power plants are from the workers exhaling.

Isn't it weird that whenever fossil fuel prices spike anti-nuclear rhetoric comes out in droves.

We're lucky we only have "self-identified environmentalist" and not "self-identified nuclear physicist" or the worlds goes full chernobyl on this one.

Environmentalist, isn't that one of those new-age professions that require absolutely fuck all for qualification.

Using the same logic, they build a ‘bio’mass heating plant in the middle of our town in The Netherlands. On paper it has zero emissions
In practice it’s 3 huge wood burning ovens with large chimneys, spewing out a thick smelly and never ending stream of exhaust fumes. In the middle of hundreds of houses
Half the time it runs on diesel because there is an issue getting enough trees (up to 30 centimeter / 12 inches in diameter) that they chop up and put in the oven
It’s also twice as expensive as other heating sources and of course it’s mandatory to be connected
Go green..

But I thought environmental activists love nuclear power? Isn't it one of the most clean/efficient way to farm energy?
