The difference is that you have between 8000 and 9999 HP and the boss hit you for 3 to 4 k Damage each time.
The boss has 1 Million HP and you hit him for 9999 if you crit ...
It takes 3 hits for the boss to kill you, twice if you are unlucky, so healing is not an option it's mandatory, you have to heal once every 3 turns, turns that feels lost since it's like loosing 1/3 of your attacks opportunity.
The boss heals 1 time and will heal between half to full life and you'll have to repeat the cycle again.
That is why when bosses Heal it feel like an unfair chores ...
