Atleast that lung is insulated good!

I remember work authorities slammed a construction site here, where workers were swapping an old waterpipe made of asbestos. They left all the gloves, suits and clothing used for the work laying about. They were sawing the pipe with circle saw, so the asbestos was sprouting all over the pit. The cherry on top was that the workers didnt use dust masks (bare minimum), because it was uncomfortable and "hard to breath"....

My dad died a month ago due to pulmonary fibrosis which in turn also developed into a lung cancer. One of the main reasons was that he was exposed to asbestos a lot (and many other chemical shit) while growing up. He lived till 67 years old. :(

Asbestos is very popular in east Europe. We recycle it. When it is not good for roof anymore we reuse it to fix roads. Once my neighbor started to build road. He was smashing asbesto tiles with hammer. At first I kindly asked him to stop. Then I had to explain him that it will cost him a lot if he will not stop. It is illegal to use asbestos, but still many sovietmentality imbeciles do it a lot.

I wonder what 'wondermaterials' we use today that in 50 years time we'll discover are really harmful. PFAS are kind of along that line, although we've known that for a while now.
