I actually like Skyrim's brittle skeletons. I'd make them come in swarms and have high damage, but collapsing from a single strike actually makes sense. Also, for anything literally meatier, there are the Draugrs.

Oh I still like the one level up in Oblivion when "elementals" start to show up and the bigger crab monster inseatd of mucrabs, ogres etc. Dan this was the time when running was the better option...

Just play on legendary and have fun with wolves..

On legendary the Draugr are quite strong...
In the endgame you kill anything anyway.

I'd prefer if they brought back Morrowind ghosts in a really early dungeon, before you have any magic weapons.
