Its not our system fault but viruses are evolving faster than our immune system. Same as how we can be fat in no time nowadays if we dont careful. Aside from our unhealty lifestyle, our food become tastier and more caloric dense aka processed food.

The funny part is that 40 degrees makes some brain protein(s) unstable, while most organs can be perfectly okay around that temperature.

Actually it's a very good strategy, organs can withstand much much longer to a fever then most viruses can.
