"you justdon't understand economics", that'S not greed, it's deregulated markets. They will take everything and later complain that they can't get anymore

I live right outside of Charlotte and can confirm this is real and becoming a massive problem. The way its working is we originally had an influx of developers, primarily from NYC. They built apartments and slapped NYC rent prices on them. Once that happened, the complexes around them said "We are raising rent because we are matching comparable apartments in the area", so in the last 3 years or so, rent has tripled for the entire area.

Supply and demand, basics of economics. If you think you can rent cheaper, then do and collect the profits.

You are the problem. You rent this expensive bullshit. Stay at home, make them go broke. You rent excessive priced houses you contribute to the system surviving and thriving. Safe to buy and let them fuck off.

People will try to sell it to you as expensive as they can, even if it's overpriced. But don't blame them... You will try to pay a less as you can, even if it's undervalued. Stop complaining, get to know the rules and play the game the best you can
