I thought Quokkas didn't have any enemies and that's what makes them happy all the time?

Quokkas have always had some enemy, either the natural enemies that are now extinct, or now the pets and pigs Europeans brought with them. Throwing the baby away, although cruel sounding, at least keeps mom alive to breed again, rather than having both the mother and baby die together.

This is BS, quokka's don't have natural enemies.
