Tonal languages are a violation of the very concept of language. A language's primary purpose is to convey information. That information should not change with delivery. Imagine if you had a file, and depending on whether you copied it to a USB drive or attached it to an email, the data inside the file would change. That would be insane, right? Yet this is exactly what such languages do.
